ACC physiotherapy without the paperwork
If you've been hurt in an accident, you can come straight to Total Body Physio. You don't need to see a GP first. At your first appointment your physio assesses the injury, lodges your ACC claim on the spot, and starts treatment. You won't fill in a single form.
ACC subsidises your treatment, so you only pay a small co-payment. At our Panmure and Flat Bush clinics your first ACC visit is free.
What you'll pay at each clinic
| Clinic | First ACC visit | ACC follow-up |
|---|---|---|
| Panmure | Free | $30 |
| Flat Bush / Botany | Free | $30 |
| Pakuranga | $35 | $30 |
| Titirangi | $45 | $40 |
Gold Card holders and students get about $5 off. At Panmure there's also a free 20-minute follow-up option if cost is a barrier. Full details are on our prices page.
Accident injuries we treat under ACC
Work injuries: we lodge the claim, treat the injury, and build a graded return-to-work plan. We can also liaise with your employer and ACC about restricted duties.
Motor vehicle injuries: we do a full-body check after a crash and handle the whole ACC motor vehicle claim. Passengers are covered too.
Sports injuries: from weekend netball to premier rugby, we treat the injury, set milestones, and test your strength before you return. More on sports injury physio →

ACC physio FAQ
Do I need a GP referral for ACC physio?
No. Physiotherapists in New Zealand can lodge ACC claims directly, so you can come straight to Total Body Physio. We assess your injury and lodge the ACC claim during your first visit.
How much does ACC physio cost at Total Body Physio?
ACC pays most of the cost and you pay a co-payment. Panmure and Flat Bush: first ACC visit free, follow-ups $30. Pakuranga: $35 initial, $30 follow-up. Titirangi: $45 initial, $40 follow-up. Gold Card holders and students get about $5 off.
What counts as an ACC injury?
Any injury caused by an accident, such as a sports injury, a fall, lifting at work, or a car crash. It doesn't have to be recent to be worth checking. If it's not accident-related, private rates apply instead.
Do ACC motor vehicle claims cover passengers?
Yes. ACC motor vehicle claims cover passengers as well as drivers. Symptoms such as whiplash often show up days after a crash, so it's worth being checked even if you felt fine at the scene.
What should I bring to my first ACC appointment?
Photo ID, comfortable clothes you can move in, and any scan results, specialist letters or surgeon's protocol you have. Arrive a few minutes early for your first visit.
What if my injury isn't covered by ACC?
You can still book. Private rates are $90 (Panmure) to $120 for an initial consultation and $80 for follow-ups. See our prices page for each clinic.
